Our Practice
Yuzemi forges connections between Japan’s foremost contemporary craftspeople and the wider world. We source and advise on exceptional works—both commissioned and non-commissioned—supporting the vision of interior designers, materials curators, and art consultants with objects shaped by skill and intent.
Our Curation
Yuzemi centres on a considered curation of Japanese makers, grouped by material, rather than presenting a collection of objects alone. Each maker is chosen for the singularity of their work, the depth of their practice, and intimacy with their chosen medium.
Works are sourced, specified, or developed primarily in response to project-led enquiries, allowing for thoughtful alignment between the maker and the client’s vision.

Collaborations and Commissions
Alongside their established bodies of work, our artisans enjoy engaging creatively in bespoke commissions, exploring new forms and interpretations with each project. We oversee these commissions from concept to completion, ensuring clarity of process and a faithful translation of the client’s vision.
Our Services
Yuzemi supports creative professionals by providing access to Japanese makers and objects beyond our core collective, advising on their placement, use, and context within a project.
We also offer traditional kintsugi, the practice of repair that honours an object’s history rather than concealing it. Broken ceramic and glass pieces are restored using the highest-quality Japanese materials, with care for both structure and character.
